A key landmark in the city’s retail landscape since 1959, Plymouth Market is home to over 140 stalls and eateries. Actuate’s relationship with the Market began with the development of its new brand following a research project to steer the direction of the new visual identity and shaped by heritage guidelines for the Grade II Listed Building.
Throughout the year, Actuate works with the Market team to plan, create and implement its marketing campaigns to drive footfall to the Market, including key campaigns such as the Grand Day Out re-launch following a £3.5million refurbishment and its annual Christmas campaign.
Utilising the powers of social media, the Actuate team manage the Market’s social media channels. The launch and development of the Market’s Instagram page saw it feature in Plymouth Herald’s list of the city’s top Instagram pages to follow.
Most recently, the Actuate team has worked with Plymouth Market to develop and launch its new website to showcase the eclectic mix of over 140 stalls, to entice new shoppers and to promote the full breadth of the Market’s offering to the city. With photography playing a key role in the branding of Plymouth Market, an extensive photography project was undertaken to capture the full Plymouth Market experience and bring it to life in the fully responsive website.
