Plymouth Market’s Grand Day Out proves a great success!

Back in September the Market, situated at the heart of the city’s West End, staged a huge celebration event to encourage shoppers to discover for themselves the amazing range of products and eateries it has to offer, all under the one roof.

Grand Day Out created an incredible buzz and really showcased the Market as a unique and irreplaceable shopping venue. As well as being treated to tasters of freshly cooked seafood from Michelin chef Jacques Marchal, shoppers were enthralled by demonstrations from several stallholders, including Coronet Engravers, Drab to Fab and Robins and Moore.

There were also street entertainers on hand to add to the festivities: particularly captivated by all the food stalls in the Market were two cheeky human-sized seagulls!
Market Manager Matthew Jones said “We’re really proud of the difference the refit has made to the Market and it was great to see so many people at our Grand Day Out, rediscovering what a surprising and friendly place it is.

“The Market is full of great value produce and products and we’re becoming well-known for our incredible mix of excellent eateries and cafes – it’s well worth visiting us in the West End of the city to see what you’ll discover.”
